XCAT to DukeSim: Demonstration of Virtual Imaging in CT

Drs. Paul Segars and Ehsan Abadi developed two tools offered by the Center for Virtual Imaging Trials (CVIT) at Duke University. Dr. Segars is the developer of the XCAT series of computational phantoms, which serve as virtual patients, while Dr. Abadi develops the state-of-the-art simulator DukeSim, which provides virtual scanners. In the talk, they demonstrated how to combine these tools to simulate virtual CT images for different research studies.
