From Individual Cells to Human Populations: a Multiscale Computational Approach to Radiation Dosimetry
Forum Details
Date: August 19, 2022 12-1 PM Eastern time
Speakers: Anuj Kapadia, Ph.D.
In this talk, Dr. Kapadia describes his work at Oak Ridge National Laboratory to develop high-performance computing pipelines for multiscale radiation dosimetry. The pipeline spans multiple scales in the body, ranging from sub-cellular (DNA) to whole-body and population, and it incorporates the CVIT’s XCAT phantoms for virtual experiments in radiation dosimetry. Dr. Kapadia describes the development of the computational pipeline and its application to radioisotopes and external-beam dosimetry.
